They "hired" him because Astartes made an impact, not because they cared one whit about his skill. How do I know? Because he didnt get the phone call until the final compilation went viral. We have no idea what happened behind the scenes. His hiring must have included purchasing Astartes from him, and making it exclusive to their platform. My guess would be that they threatened lawfare as a stick, and hiring him as a carrot. In addition, just as an aside, there is some evidence that GWs recent update on "record sales" could be nonsense, their numbers being pumped by private, investor associated buyers to try to take the gas out of the fan revolt, so they can recover.

IG should really have gotten 1-2 universal bodies that can have upgrade sprues with different heads so that GW could have many different regiments without having hundreds of different kits.

I have been playing deamons for a very long time, I would be very unhappy if I had to split up my army into 4 new ones....

I think there would be a lot of angry Daemon players (myself included) if they got rolled into their respective traitor legion. What the hell am I supposed to do, collect all 4 traitor legions? Oh go on then 😏

I'm sure this was covered in White Dwarf a few months ago, and that you're nearly right but I think there's more to it, that at some point he lost knowledge of who he was. That the Inquisitor who took him was seen as a heretic, and had been gathering space marines and Titus was kinda rescued and then taken into the Deathwatch. And then rescued again later by an ultramarine Librarian and brought back into the ultramarines but with a loss of his former rank due to time away etc.

I think the dark eldar do need a big named centerpiece model. I propose the Drukhari flesh crafters have got hold of something a while ago that they've been working on and they're ready to unleash it. They got hold of the remains of Conrad Kurze and they've enhanced him and awoken his body and instincts, if not his mind entirely. Personality wise, he's a much better fit for the dark eldar and a constant quest to get him more human skin to keep grafting onto his primarch organs would be so interesting and grim and fitting.

There's too much you could think.He was hired by them. He works now as a Servitor doing what GW wants and not what was his. It now belongs to them and if he does not comply with they want,. his power plug will be severed and will never be able to do anything for 40K again. The Rules of the employment contract they would never let you know. We all know how GW is with thier Trade Marks,. don't we? Why would they be any different with anything else?

Dark Eldar need Lady Malys as a model. She's just too damn cool in the lore to not have one. As for Vect, if I was GW I'd release a plastic update of the Tantalus as a model and make Vect's Dias of Destruction a Tantalus option as a sweetener in the box.

I love the Death Watch but honestly lore wise making him a Grey Knight would have made more sense considering he would have to be a powerful psyker to do the things he did in the first game. EDIT: though I suppose if they made him a grey knight they couldn’t have him fighting tyranids. But still fighting hoards of 4 tittied demons in the eye of terror then landing on a word bearers planet and putting your foot up Lorgars ass would have been cool. Honestly GW should have maintained the SM games as an alt timeline. In my humble opinion at least.

All the crimson fists novels are pure gold. The true succesors of the fist from the heresy. Tactical, logical, pragmatic. What other chapter got a ceres protocol? My favourite novel is legacy of dorn or traitors gorge. The small units tactics of that chapter are mindblowing 😬😬😬 15 o 16 marines vs hordes of orks and wining!! 😬😬😬 No protagonist supreme power
